DU QUOIN, IL (MAY 9, 2020) Ultimate Gaming Championship, in partnership with G3 Esports and Beasley Esports, has successfully raised a total of $9,545.08 through its charity campaign, Shutdown Showdown. All of the campaign’s proceeds will directly support nonprofit charity No Kid Hungry and its coronavirus crisis response to ensure kids get the meals they need during school closures and all year long.

The campaign ran between April and May 2020, beginning with a five-week Apex Legends tournament, and culminating in a 24-hour live-streamathon effort. Hundreds of gamers had come together between both activations to support Shutdown Showdown and its goal of raising $10,000 for No Kid Hungry. With their help, Shutdown Showdown was able to raise more than 95% of its goal through the Tiltify platform.

“Not only has gaming been a great source of entertainment during this time of quarantine, but it’s provided a sense of camaraderie. With our partners, UGC was able to bridge the gap between a large number of influencers and together fight for a great cause. As a company, we couldn’t be happier to play our part during this time of need and showcase the unity within the gaming community,” said Matt JacksonFounder & CEO of Ultimate Gaming Championship.
